Welcome, friends. Grab a popcorn (freshly popped, slastered in butter if you like that kind of thing), and settle down to enter a world of magic. My first film memory was a double-bill of Tomb Thumb and The Wizard of Oz at The Astoria in Corstorphine, before the came (formerly a Lowfreeze for anyone attempting to organise a Stars of Hollwood-esque tour – “Why not try the delicious cheese-in-burger available at the Rapido, not 3 minutes from this cinema).

Tom Thumb was and is a delight. Gorgeous old colour, some classic tunes, and all Camberwick Green

So, lights down a bit, get the wriggling about over and done with, and get that packet of revels shoved into your gob. It’s time for some trailers. I love ‘em. Even if they’re crap. Well, usually….

We’re kind of going in at the deep end with this little (aha aha aha a ha ha ha ha aha) number, but

a) It’s the most recent trailer I’ve seen, so I can remember it, and
b) I fucking love the deep end, and
c) It’s my blog

So, all I’ll say is, stick with me..

Well, from here, we can only go up, and that’s not a dig at the little folk, bless their foul little mouths.

So, that’s about it. This won’t be the general theme to be honest, but there’s no point in beating around the bush. Things will get ugly people, and you need to be able to take it.

So, more of that to come really. Probably a lot more monsters, one or two nuns, the odd cartoon, lots of blood, fangs, ghosts, and psychos. And beauty. And depth. Everything for everyone.
